Located in Big Bend Nat'l Park, TX., Dugout Wells has a working windmill, providing water to the small parcel of desert surrounding it. The view of the Chisos Mountain Range was spectacular on this cool windy morning. I have painted at this spot on several occasions. 10 x 14 watercolor.

Chester was the first pet I owned as an adult he was lost in flooding during a tornado in Oklahoma. I painted this with love, nostalgia, and playfulness in order to recapture the kitten I loved so dearly. He was so impetuous and silly, always looking for adventure. His spirit was, and is, a work of art.

I'm just getting back into painting after a tough emotional year. I'm not going to lie - it's primarily a comfort for me. But the feedback I've received since sharing my paintings over the past month encouraged me to share them more. I had painted a few black bears for my neighbor and wanted to tackle a gizzly bear moving through water. I knew it'd be a challenge since I have never painted anything like this before but I'm pretty happy with the result. There were moments where I doubted if I
