Title or Location: Early Evening on the Marsh
While participating in a Plein air event in Louisiana I came across this marsh. It?s actually a crawfish farm. The afternoon sky was reflecting on the water and I knew I had to try and capture it before too late. It was quite a remarkable scene.

Title or Location: Loose florals
I am learning to be more loose with my watercolor painting. I am also working on my confidence! I think everyone can relate to that first burst of anxiety when putting paint to paper! But this time, I just went for it, held my brush loosely, and let the paint do its thing. I gave up control and it turned out pretty great! This isn't my most "professional" looking work, but it was the mindset that mattered most!

Title or Location: Trinity River Audubon Center
This painting was inspired on one of the many beautiful trails at the Trinity River Audubon Center. I recently joined a Dallas Plein Air painting group and this was my first outing. Mesmerized by the morning sun. Inundated by the sounds of nature. It was a blissful experience. It had been so long since I had been with nature and admittedly caught the plain air bug. There was a unifying experience as nature never stopped all around me and neither did I!

Title or Location: Wild Carrots At Dusk
I named this watercolor "Wild Carrot At Dusk" (18"x14.25") I wanted to capture the sun setting on some Wild Carrots or Dacus Carota you probably call it Queen Anne's Lace. This painting is part of a series where I am working to feature everyday things in our environment to celebrate them and have the viewer look closer at their glory. Therefore I use beautiful colors and knockout textures to bring out the beauty in nature, hopefully making you look twice. The symbolism of this wild flower is san

I am trying to paint in watercolour without doing to much drawing first. I was pleased with this attempt. My Dad used to grow lovely roses and Sweer Williams. He always gave Mum red roses on her birthday or wedding anniversary. Sadly they both died a few years ago but painting these flowers brought back happy memories.
