Title or Location: Early Evening on the Marsh
While participating in a Plein air event in Louisiana I came across this marsh. It?s actually a crawfish farm. The afternoon sky was reflecting on the water and I knew I had to try and capture it before too late. It was quite a remarkable scene.

Title or Location: Loose florals
I am learning to be more loose with my watercolor painting. I am also working on my confidence! I think everyone can relate to that first burst of anxiety when putting paint to paper! But this time, I just went for it, held my brush loosely, and let the paint do its thing. I gave up control and it turned out pretty great! This isn't my most "professional" looking work, but it was the mindset that mattered most!

Title or Location: Trinity River Audubon Center
This painting was inspired on one of the many beautiful trails at the Trinity River Audubon Center. I recently joined a Dallas Plein Air painting group and this was my first outing. Mesmerized by the morning sun. Inundated by the sounds of nature. It was a blissful experience. It had been so long since I had been with nature and admittedly caught the plain air bug. There was a unifying experience as nature never stopped all around me and neither did I!

Title or Location: The Dog Days of Summer
I painted this on location in Sedalia, CO. I travel back home to my native state of Colorado several times a year. I always spend time painting plein air with a good friend when I'm there. This is one of our favorite areas to paint and we typically finish off our day with a burger and beer at the local bar and grille. This day was unseasonably hot for an early September day, thus the title, "The Dog Days of Summer."

This was simply for fun and therapy. A combination of white space, line and wash and abstract watercolour inspired by a line drawing by Anna Mason, Nature Studio . . . I often do my painting, as I did here, when I?m feeling down and it always, without fail, lifts my spirits . . .

Watercolour on cold pressed paper. Caranguejo means crab in Portuguese. My one year old son loves a song about the tiny little crab. He sings and mimic a crab so I have paited this one for him. I framed it and it is in his bedroom now.

Title or Location: Colorado
This is a painting to celebrate spring time and growth, in Colorado. Hanh doesn?t usually paint butterflies and flowers, instead mostly landscapes. However, this painting represents new birth and growth as an artist exploring other subjects. Having a growth mindset is important in honing a skill.
